Why Virtual Headache: How it Works and how does it differ from a regular practice I visit in person
Getting headache care from a traditional practice, can in and of itself be a headache. Our Virtual program provides timely and accessible care to headache specialists all from the comfort of your home. Reducing the time spent waiting for an appointment and traveling to and from your appointments getting you back to heathy faster.
Once a patient, what is the easiest way to connect with my care team?
The easiest way is to send a text message to your care team using our secure platform called Twistle.
What if I have other neurological needs or concerns?
This program is for patients who are suffering from headaches or migraines. If you have another neurological condition that isn’t a headache or migraine you would best be served by using a clinical service to address your neurology need.
What if I need Botox injections or in person care for my headache?
Depending on care plan, your provider might recommend Botox injections or other treatments that require in person care. If that is necessary, your care team at the Center for Virtual Health will partner with you to identify the appropriate care provider in your community to provide those services and help coordinate.
How much does the service cost?
This service is billed through your traditional medical insurance. Please call the number on the back of your insurance card to confirm your eligibility.

- Adult patients, 18 or older
- With new or established headache or migraine symptoms

How do I begin receiving care from the Center for Virtual Health?
If you are interested in joining the Virtual Headache Clinic, you must be a current patient of ChristianaCare. Please use the Patient Portal to make an appointment or contact your provider for more details on joining the Headache Clinic.
Which providers offer care through the Virtual Headache program?
Your provider is part of a care team that includes an assigned nurse and PDA. Our care team also includes access to a behavioral health consultant and a pharmacist to help with your clinical needs. To view our care team, please click here.
Do you have any excluded services?
Any health care services outside of headache care. including but not limited to, emergency room visits, hospital stays, non-headache specialist care, imaging and labs, etc.
Excluded Services include, but are not limited to the following:
- Vaccines
- Prescriptions
- Medical tests
- Durable medical equipment
- Specialty Care
- Long-term behavioral health therapy
- Ancillary Services – Imaging, Labs, Rehab
- Procedures
